I got a VCR!

March 7th 2026: "Okay, this stuff happened accross various different days, so let me get it straight..."

Hi, I'm bigfish and this is Jackass. When I was on vacation on February, I got myself a PlayStation 2. The only TV I could use at the apartment was a small 14" CRT that belonged to my late great-grandmother. So I played for hours and hours straight on the PS2, and up until we got home, I had an idea:

What if I had a CRT setup at home to play older consoles?

Much to the dismay of my father, who thinks I'm clogging space up with old stuff, we carried over the 14" CRT home. Now it's February 27. As soon as we got back, I carried the TV into my room, set up the PlayStation 2, and grabbed my mom's old stereo and used it as an A/V receiver.

Now, the first week of March rolls around -- on vacation I'd ordered an LG Cinemaster VCR and 5 blanks. On March 5 and 6, both arrived in great condition! (though I received the tapes first though, haha)

THE SETUP (what everyone was waiting for.)

By the way, I'm still looking for a remote that'll work with my VCR. Please reach out if you have any information about it. Thanks!

PS: i will attach pictures very soon. I need to figure out a capture solution for my computer and/or get a new digicam. PHONES SUCK!!!!!
